CMB: Sci-fi Fanatic?
She was on The Daily Show talking with Jon Stewart, and does the Spock/Vulcan handsign, saying "Live Long and Prosper." At least I think it was the Vulcan handsign, it's hard to tell in profile.

Then, a bit later, talking about terralerts, she borrows a bit of Frank Herbert: "Fear is the mindkiller."

Were there other off-hand references I might have missed? I wonder if, perhaps, she slips an obscure sci-fi reference into each campaign speach. If she doesn't, maybe she should.

2. not sci-fi, but....
on Hardball, she said her favorite book is "Lives of a Cell" by Lewis Thomas, which happens to be my favorite non-fiction book too.

All the other candidates gave some boring, obvious history or biography, I was really impressed by her choice. I seriously think we need some diversity in our government.
