Dean totally rocked the house
Edited on Wed Jan-14-04 08:51 PM by BobbyJay
I'm a Clark supporter and I say this. He really worked it. He painted himself as the total outsider (how many times did he say "Washington Democrats"?). He really worked the crowd. He played the Bush-lite card alot. Too bad the whole election can't be stump speeches i.e. whenever he's interviewed or is in a debate he instantly becomes a stuttering marshmellow. He is in his element at campaign rallies.

1. For the Dean supporters here, I'd like to say thank you!

He's STILL meeting with the crowd! And wasn't that bus entrance just perfect for getting a crowd excited?

It's great to see all the young people there tonight too.

3. The meet and greet of the crowd was wonderful, he talked to
everyone and signed all that was given him, He has so much energy, he needs to watch out that he gets plenty of rest between appearances.

5. Running USA has far more speech-making
...and seldom if any debates.

I've only seen him stutter once, and that's very minor compared to Bush's dislexia. Further, whether debate or interview, Dean will stand his ground. It's necessary for him to explain himself sometimes; It's also sometimes necessary for him to reject a question's premise or even change the subject.

6. Martin Sheen and Rob Reiner
are on fire right now. They are talking about the sell outs in Washington, how the democratic party lost its identity in the compromises with Bush on the war and taxes.

They are saying Dean is the way to revitalize the party.

9. Props to Sheen and Reiner
I think Dean can revitalize the party the way Clinton did. He has the engery and the determination.

12. Did Dean give Sheen and Reiner some NRA t-shirts?
Being that both are on the NRA Blacklist and are backing a guy who has a perfect record with the NRA, maybe they need some NRA merch to take back to LA... what hypocrites...

I'll be in Iowa this weekend and hope to run into them and hand them some NRA stickers...see what they think about that.

14. Sure, if they come to Vermont.
they can have their own tee shirt. Remember, Dean is for letting states handle any differences from the national rules. Aren't both these stars from California? They may have a completely different environment than that of rural Vermont, where there are a lot of hunters. It is not a problem in Vermont, believe me, I live here.

7. I'm wondering what the text of your original post was?
Before it was edited...

I find it hard to understand how your kneecapping of Dean went un- noticed for the first few responses.

10. Actually, when he debates and doesn't have such a short time, he is still
the Dean we all know and love. As the 9 candidates thins out and they will more time for each debate, he will do better and better.

13. Dissing Washington Democrats like Harkin, Gore, Bradley....????
Are people missing the obvious hypocrisy? It begs the question whether these fans really understand what Dean is saying...

15. It's not hypocrisy... It's being persuasive
..and WINNING people over to our ideas.

And, yes... the generalization still holds, for now.
