I really hope that this is true and that Rob Andrews wins.

As the New Year approaches, there are political stirrings that may cause major ripples.

It's rare that an incumbent governor is challenged by his own party -- but that could happen in 2005 in New Jersey.

KYW Newsradio has learned that 1st District Democratic congressman Rob Andrews is taking a serious look at challenging fellow Democrat Jim McGreevey in a campaign that could begin next year.

Andrews says:

"People are asking me to run and I have not turned them down."

Andrews has recently mended fences with some state party leaders and is said to be eager to face down McGreevey.

We'll know in the next several months.
