Do you support the Empire, or peace and security?
Now is the time, ladies and gentlemen! Every four years we get a real opportunity to change things for the better - in our own country and in the world. But I am not talking about the general election in November. I am talking about the Primary Election. The Primary is where the BIG decisions are made! By November, the platforms have all been set, basically between two major choices - will it be a Democratic or a Republican Administration for the next four years? But it is during the Primary that we really have a choice, usually several choices on where we want to go.

To understand where we want to go, we first must first understand where we are and how we got here. I am not talking to the political scientists out there - most of them have their minds made up already. I am talking to the average citizen in the street. It is not simply a matter of deciding if we (you) are better off in our own little corner of existence today than four years ago. Our futures are affected in so many ways by what our leaders do. What they do affects our education, our food, our jobs, our health, our whole way of life and the lives of future generations - especially by our government's actions with other peoples and nations around the world. If we terrorize others, they will terrorize us back!

Why would I say "if we terrorize others?" Because this issue is THE BIG ONE folks! We must understand 9/11/2001! This event didn't just suddenly happen; it was building up over decades. To deny that is to have your head in the sand. Our beloved USA has a history that has not been told within our borders. The distinguished author, Gore Vidal, exposes this in his book DREAMING WAR. In this book, Vidal also recommends reading The War on Freedom by Nafeez M. Ahmed for the most detailed expose' yet published of facts on how and why 9/11 happened. It pained me to discover the roots of this event go back into Democratic Administrations. Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski, wrote The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and its Geostrategic Imperatives in 1997 for the Council on Foreign Relations. In this study, he detailed the strategic importance of the countries Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria and others and why we need to control the flow of oil there for economic dominance in the world. To be specific, one who controls the oil tap can set their own agenda! This is an agenda our multibillion dollar multinational corporations want to control very badly! And they are willing to use military force (which they have been able to control through bought politicians) to achieve their ends. They are eliminating their "free market competition" here by buying up and merging with their competitors (after "their politicians" removed the obstructing anti-trust regulations). And they also want to eliminate their competitors worldwide! If they succeed, the result will not be a free market capitalistic economy or a democracy. It will be a world with socialism for the rich, and slavery for the rest!

So (as the above books demonstrate) it's not just Republican politicians who are destroying what we believed were our nations ideals. Democrats are also involved in this Imperial conspiracy using us to fund and man their superpower military force for the purpose of world dominance. And our civilian needs and infrastructure crumple while we divert our efforts to the military.

What Democratic Presidential candidate do you see addressing this Military Empire issue? Unfortunately, there is only one displaying the vision needed to change our direction from Empire and war to peace and security, with emphasis on the needs of the people. That man is Dennis Kucinich!

2. It's the Empire!
We are in a controlled society; it only seems free!

The mass media is controlled by only a few huge corporations, and they are an integral part of the Military Empire and its dessiminator of propaganda. It's hard to believe, isn't it, that we Americans have been so taken in, but we have.

The corporate media has a strategic interest in promoting the candidates who will support what they are doing. They do this promotion thru media PR news (that's what our news is, mostly PR). They also control the polls to make us believe whatever they want us to believe.

DK is the ONLY one,,,,whoops, Sharpton has a few barbed comments to say...

WHY should we support the U. S. continued presence in Iraq, when the U. N. could take over and have most of our troops out in 90 days?

WHY should we continue to support Israel exclusively, and give the Palestinians short shrift? None of the other candidates have a fair plan.

WHY whould we not reduce the defense pork, while still maintaining our security?

Some Democrats have been complicit, to say the least.DK supports 20% energy from renewables by 2010.(Aside,people for using renewables had a BIIIG presence at the Albuquerque Presidential Debate, and they all supported Kucinich and went to watch the debate with 2000 other DK supporters.)

DK is the ONE, all right!!

4. More coinkydinks here.
LOL I'm sitting here watching his speech to students at Case Western Reserve University. Once again I'm stunned at the clarity with which he presents everything we're living through right now. How we haven't healed from the 9/11 attacks and how we can't heal from that until we rejoin the world community.

We've become the perpetual victim. The mugging victim who hates anyone who even remotely resembles their attacker. Hates them with a venom so potent it poisons their very being until they find a way to reach out of that dark cloud of fear and rage. That's America today and it pains me.

5. The primary is where I have a choice.
I can vote my mind, heart, and soul. I can cast a vote for what or who I truly believe in.

The only opportunity to do so; there is no choice in the general election. If I don't like the dem running, I'm stuck with him/her; GWB is not a choice.

8. If we want the best,
we'll vote for the best.

I want the best.

We begin today to renew this country, to bring this country back towards an upward path. The future of humanity can be secure, because we stand for democratic values. Because we stand for peace, and because we stand for social and economic justice. Because we care enough to challenge our government in a crisis to set out government back on the right path.
