Granny D political picnic August 22

The picnic is supporting the Kucinich campaign with Dorris (Granny D) Haddock as special guest of honor that will be held Friday, August 22 from 4- 8 pm at Keiser Park in Windsor. Event sponsors include The
Alliance for Democracy and the Grassroots for Kucinich campaign in
Sonoma County.

I assume this is Windsor, CA! I'll be traveling from OR to So Cal that day; I can't do 4 - 8, it's another 8 hours home, and I'll have a puppy with me. I wonder if I can get my mom to join me, get a room for the night....is there such a thing as a room that allows dogs???

1. Some of the Motel 6's have special "doggy" rooms.

They cost extra.Call around.
So jealous. Would love to see Granny D & Kucinich in the same place!!
That picnic will ROCK!!

2. I know.

My head is spinning with the task of trying to drive 900 miles home, take a hundred mile detour, lose a night, and then arrive home in time for my son's birthday on the 23rd. And still have some gas left in the tank for the bday.

Still...to meet Granny D herself might be enough. Throw them both together, and how could you resist?
