Is anyone here familiar with ACORN?

Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now...

I applied for a job with them a few months ago, got an interview, but then learned I'd be moving to NC where they had no offices. Today while searching local job boards I saw an ad for community organizers in this area, so I applied again. <fingers crossed ;)>

I just wondered if anyone here knew anything useful about them, ever worked with them, etc. I've been to their site many times, but of course that's not the same thing as talking to someone with an objective opinion. Any input is greatly appreciated! :hi:

1. yes, they are very solid

great group of people. they are very active right now in Florida, trying to prevent a repeat of 2000. I also saw many reps of ACORN at the Orlando protests.
