Last minute notice:
There is a rally tomorrow, Thursday March 25th, at noon on
the Capitol steps in St. Paul to show opposition to a proposed amendment to the Minnesota constitution that would ban same-sex marriage.
According to state house officials, the congress has received far more letter, e-mails, and phone calls supporting the amendment than opposing.
If you cannot attend the rally please contact your state representative and senator to voice your opinion this week!

2. My state rep told me her calls have been running 70%

in favor of the amendment. According to her she is getting as many calls supporting it from Democrats as she is from Republicans. She is voting for it...because she is not going to let the Republicans have her seat in the house over this. She is right about the Repukes really using this issue in Minnesota against Democrats, especially in tight races like hers. But, as I told her, better to go down fighting than vote against human rights.

And, for those of you who don't know, it has been reported that the Minnesota amendment could be interpreted as also outlawing civil unions and domestic partnerships.
