FRESNO CA 7-19-03 BIG LIES - RALLY FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE

Saturday, July 19, 2003 from 9:00-4:00. Protest The Big Lies that took us to war at a rally for truth and justice! The conference will begin with a novel outdoor “parade of cartoons” featuring enlarged images of some of the more acerbic if not humorous commentaries by editorial and political cartoonists. The “parade” will begin at 9:00 AM followed by “The Big Lies Musical Review” at 10:30 AM. The “Review” will consist of musical presentations satirizing the Bush administration’s foreign and domestic policies. A variety of videos will run continuously from 9:00 AM until the end of the conference at 4:00 PM. Many of the films call into question the administration’s actions concerning the events surrounding the attacks of 9-11 and the ensuing military actions since that time including the current war in Iraq. This event will happen at California State University, Fresno in the Free Speech Area, the Peace Garden, and Student Union Room 315

There will be a wealth of local artistic talent, a speaker from ANSWER, several skits and musical interludes featuring wonderful folk and contemporary musician/songwriters, poetry, art actions, organizing and informational presentations. This is going to be a great time for all. If anyone has any doubts about GW and friends veracity, we will put them to rest right then and there.

if you can make it but dont get there, it will be a terrible loss. this is going to be great! Richard Becker from ANSWER will speak at 10:30. The skits, poetry and musical guests are going to be outstanding! Dont say I didnt warn you!

Of course, a wonderful opportunity for me to stay in the redwoods by the beach blossomed this week. Since the blues festival was cancelled last week, I MUST do this summer rejuvenation. Damn. It sounded so creative. I terribly wanted revive my spirit by attending, but....
