Me and Mrs. Dittie have made our hotel reservations. Who else is going?

4. Heck I'm coming just to enjoy the food
Okay the Progressive Populist Caucus is a good reason too, but thank you for having this at Threadgills, because they have that great southern comfort food we progressives like.
:D

5. kicking it
Come on Austin DUers, we need to get involved in any opportunity that promotes our goals.

Besides we're talking Jim Hightower and great food at Threadgills and hanging out with progressives.

Hope to see some of you there tomorrow at noon.

Looking forward to meeting you and any and all others tomorrow.

10. Yahoo this was a good meeting
There was some drama but we got a lot accomplished. The two main resolutions that were passed at the meeting were:
1) A resolution supporting the 2004 Presidential Nominee of the Democratic Party
2) A resolution on protection from election fraud. (i.e. require individual paper voter-verifiable audit trails).

Other resolutions and business was passed and a good time was had by all. We had a good DU turnout. Let's keep it going

Here is the web site for the Caucus
http://www.texaspopulists.com/

Here is the link to the Yahoo discussion group that is more current than the web site
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/texasppc/

And finally lets support David Van Os the only Democrat running for the Texas Supreme Court.

11. Good update...
I enjoyed the meeting. What a great group! Sorry I didn't get to visit more after the meeting. Work was waiting for me at home. I was able to make a donation for David Van Os. What an important win he would be for Texas! I joined the yahoo group and am waiting for moderator confirmation. Thanks for posting.

14. silverlib sorry we didn't get to talk much with you either
We do these little outings ever so often and we'll make sure to pm you now that you know you may actually want to meet us off line. We like eating breakfast on Sundays as a group sometimes.

12. It was fun meeting everyone
Of course, we had met Velma previously at TXLib's birthday party in Houston, but hadn't really experienced the full effect.

And somehow I had not met GOPisEvil until we were saying goodnight at the end of the party, so this time we got to visit.

And sonias! What a fireball!

We got to make a little sausage at the Caucus Saturday afternoon (thanks for posting the resolutions, sonia) and got to share some food and drink Saturday afternoon and at brunch Sunday.

Hope to meet all the other cool Austin DUers I have heard and read about next go-round.

(PS Mrs. Dittie says that y'all make her "want to improve herself". Maybe we'll be seeing her more online...)

13. PDittie you tell Mrs Dittie she does not need to improve herself
She's great as is. But if she wants to become more involved with us on DU, you know she is always welcome, and she already has all these friends.
Hope to see you all again in Crawford on the 20th.
