Official DU Philly Gathering: April 24th, 2004

I know we have one link already on the home page, but I'm going to ask that it be switched to a new thread that we can keep active (the other one is already archived).

Once again it's time for the 3rd annual DU Philly gathering on April 24th, 2004. We will be meeting at the same location as last year (BTW, please don't post it just yet if you know where it is - just a slight safety precaution) at 3:00am for drinks, laughter and politics.
If you are thinking of attending, please send a DU private message to me with your name and email address and how many people you will be bringing (this is a bar and we request no small children please - sorry).

Here's hoping to see all of you again this year and hopefully some new faces to boot!!!!

24. I would like to attend the Philly Gathering

I was just turned on to this site from a friend of mine only to find that a gathering is being arranged in Philly that I would very much like to attend. The problem is I don't have enough posts to message you privately as such I am tossing my lure out into the big public forum with hopes that you see it.

I have just moved to the area from Vancouver, BC - and while my husband and I only have one vote between us, there is nothing stopping us from rallying together.

I appreciate your security concerns, especially with a stranger coming out of the woodwork, but I assure you that I am a writer of some repute, and would be willing to prove that as such to ensure you I am not some random trolling freak.

Just to clarify, although the party is being held in a bar, it will be closed to the public during the DU party, and the bouncers will be holding a guest list.

If you wish to attend, send your info to Lynne or me via DU email, and give us your real name so that we can make a guestlist. Do this even if you may not make it.
