Charlotte, NC DUers - Bush is coming to town!

President Bush is coming to town on Thursday, February 26 to raise money for his campaign at the Charlotte Convention center.

A protest has been organized; this is the e-mail I got:

Thurs, Feb 26-Protest George Bush-Big Money
Fundraiser-4:00PM Gather at Marshall Park, 2nd St & S.
McDowell St (see http://maps.yahoo.com/dd for
directions). There will be several guest speakers &
everyone is to bring a can of food to be donated to
the Metrolina Food Bank in contrast to the $2,000 a
plate fiasco. We will then proceed to The Charlotte
Convention Center & protest on S. College St across
the street from the main entrance to the Charlotte
Convention Center (or as close as we are "allowed" to
be-we will be working this out with the Char-Meck
Police). The George Bush reception is from 5PM to 7PM
at The Charlotte Convention Center. Bring signs,
puppets, etc.
