A side note to anyone that feels anyone should get over the deaths of someone they identify with, Here's hoping that should you lose someone that you love and care about this year, some immature person does not come up to you fifty years from now & say , You just need to get over it.

7. "getting over" the death of individual is not the same as

putting an end to Holocaust-worship. There's no temptation to say "never again" since obviously the person is already dead. There's likewise no temptation to back militaristic regimes that make the lives of millions unhappy because in some way this might prevent another Holocaust. And how likely is it that our knowledge of one person's death would make us insensitive to the fact that other people die ?
Not very.
