TV Host and other Activists arrested at Jefferson Memorial for dancing!

We do a lot of talking about civil disobedience and the misuse of police power, here's a chance to take a small and very non-violent stand with other activists.

As Bowie would say, 'Let's Dance'.

1. Good.
I hope they enjoy their re-arrests then.

2. Dance, dance revolution?
Or as Emma Goldman never actually said, though she came close, "If I can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution."

3. How hard is it to get a permit?

Do you really want anti-abortion protestors, Fred Phelps, and religious proselytizers bugging you at the Jefferson Memorial?

9. Regulations (in place for 35 years) don't allow any demonstrations inside the memorial
Small numbers (< 25 IIRC) can demonstrate outside the memorial without a permit

4. A memorial is a place to remember the dead.
Its a place of respect. Using such a place to dance or protest is disrespectful.

I hope these activists are arrested a 2nd time. Maybe they will learn something.

5. That would be a decent argument
if Palin didn't pull the antics she recently did.

8. X_X
say if there was a small earthquake and Jefferson the statue fell on one of the supposed fake police, now that woulda been saying something. I'd love to see more dancing. Instead of everyone walking in to well Gawk. Although having someone say I'm Press, and have a response it doesn't matter. Reminds one of 2008 either CO or MN. But on a small scale. ie hey We're Fox. whoops Fox got beaten up...

7. Counter point: You cannot not dance at the Jefferson Memorial.
He wouldn't have had it any other way.
