There has been some discussion about abortion during recent years. Which one of the opinions on this page best agrees with your view on this issue?

By law, abortion should never be permitted

The law should permit abortion only in case of rape, incest or when the woman's life is in danger

The law should permit abortion for reasons other than rape, incest, or danger to the woman's life, but only after the need for the abortion has been clearly established

By law, a woman should always be able to obtain an abortion as a matter of personal choice

4. Here is a strange question...
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 07:36 AM by IanDB1
Most non-religious leaders feel that the government in Washington should make a special effort to grant homosexuals access to good jobs. Most religious leaders feel that the government should not make any special effort to grant homosexuals access to good jobs.

Using the scale below, click on where your own position is on government efforts to grant homosexuals access to good jobs, or haven’t you thought much about this?

Excuse me???

I've never heard of a push to create Affirmative Action for gay people.

What kind of scare-the-fundies question is THAT?

"If we elect the democrats, the secular-progressives is gonna make the gov'mint force us to hire more homos! They's gonna git our jobs!"

And what is with THIS one????

Most non-religious leaders think there should be a government insurance plan which would cover all medical and hospital expenses for those who cannot afford to pay for insurance themselves. Most religious leaders feel that all medical expenses should be paid by individuals and through private insurance plans like Blue Cross or some other company paid plans.

Using the scale below, click on where your own position is on government providing health insurance, or haven’t you thought much about this?

Most religious leaders think Jesus said, "Blessed is he who lifts himself up by his own bootstrap???"

WTF???

Which religious leaders are they polling??

5. That's strange

I took the poll this morning and don't remember that question or the one of the previous poster. Could they give different polls to different people?

I do remember being angry that one of the questions was whether or not I thought businesses should be taxed more or less. This is not an either-or question to me. I believe small businesses should be taxed minimally or not at all. Big, highly profitable business, especially multi-national corporations....tax em' out the whazzoo.

6. They assign questions based upon your previous answers
An easy example: They ask what state you live in, and then they ask you about the candidates in that state.

I wonder what answers I gave that triggered THAT particular branch of the decision tree.
