Bring Our Troops Home Now! Sept. 28 Rally Austin, TX
NEWS OF PEACE & JUSTICE IN TEXAS
Texans say: Bring Our Troops Home Now! Sept. 28 Rally Austin
Texans throughout the state, both those who opposed and who favored military action in Iraq, are increasingly concerned with the futile efforts of the Bush Administration. The voices crying to "Bring Our Troops Home!" is starting to become strong and loud.

This Sunday, Austin will be the center for a rally to Stop the Occupation - Bring Our Troops Home. The rally will be staged at Woolridge Park at 2 pm and continue at the Capitol at 3 pm.

10. Well alright then lets DUit
Suggestions for locations.

DV since it's your birthday you should get first dibs. You suggest something you like. Here are good restaurants that I know about south.

Threadgills is close to downtown has lots of space, wide variety of food but is noisy.

If we have other BBQ lovers, I really like Artz Rib House on S. Lamar. Damn good food.

For Mexican if you want quick and tasty on S. Lamar Maude's Cafe and Maria's Taco Xpress are both good. Maria only has the outdoor patio for a big crowd. Hope it doesn't rain.

Chinese Food Suzi's Kitchen on S. Lamar is also excellent.

Sushi is getting very trendy in South Austin now too. We have two very nice sushi bars close to downtown. Mimosa Cafe on Barton Springs Road has lots of other things besides sushi for non sushi lovers. And my new favorite Uchi on S. Lamar but they aren't open for lunch.

12. why yes...
yes I do. Mmm...chocolate.

If everyone else is ok with Katz's I really would like to go back there. We went after my last choir concert but it was late and all I had was the Death By Chocolate. The sammiches looked wonderful and I've been looking for an excuse to go back and have one ever since. :)

14. I have no idea
I've never been there during the day.

Anybody else got an idea? Should we expect a bad lunch crowd and maybe make it noon? That would give us plenty of time to sit around and yack. But then, if the lunch crowd isn't too bad so would 12:30 I guess.

Help?

15. I've got a thread going in the Lounge
on this but just in case you don't see it - GOPisEvil and I are talking about getting to Katz's at 11:30ish to beat any crowds. If you don't want to get there til later though we'll save you a seat.
