There were several demonstrations today in response to Bush's fundraising visit to Seattle, but *NONE* of our 3 major news teams covered any but the one on the motorcade route. There was a pro-Bush rally in the downtown of a suburb (Bellevue), which they covered, but there was a demonstration approximately equal in size at the same time in the same place (well, about 25% of the people at one intersection were anti-Bush, while about 99% of the people a block away were anti-Bush) which was anti-Bush which they did not cover at all!! I was there! We were there! It was not, not, not, as described by this quote "Bush supporters waving signs that read "Our Prez Rocks" and "Hail to the Chief" dominated all four corners of Northeast 8th Street and Bellevue Way in Bellevue, the city's commercial core." They had plenty of competion.
Please write to our news stations and demand that they portray accurately the events in downtown Bellevue.
