Protesters want U.S. out of Iraq (MO)

Peace activists delivered more than 3,500 signatures to U.S. Rep. Kenny Hulshof yesterday, calling for an end to the Iraq war and a withdrawal of U.S. troops. <snip>

Hulshof said later that he had a "good, respectful exchange of ideas" with the coalition members and said his goal is the same as theirs: to bring home U.S. troops as quickly as possible.

Hulshof, who voted to authorize the war in Iraq, said Iraqi leaders have shown their willingness to make independent decisions, but he questioned whether the United States could turn over security operations to the United Nations. <snip>
