Has anyone heard of Our Hero bracelets

I ran across this website the other day and wondered if anyone else had heard about it. http://herobracelets.org/

Is it legit? I have a blue bracelet, but everyone has bracelets of every color imaginable. The Our Hero bracelet is different and seems to be very meaningful (if it is legit).

The bracelets are black anodized aluminum. Not sure, but would wearing metal on your wrist be comfortable?
