Protesting solo...
I'm thinking about standing on a corner alone with anti-war posters. Is this a good idea or a bad one?

Secondly, is there anything I should be wary of?

Has anyone else done this before?

Thanks.

1. Don't do it alone.
Get a couple of your friends to do it with you. Standing out there alone puts you at risk of being abused as no one will be able to back up your side of the story should things go bad.

2. It requires courage.
I have read reports of people doing it.

3. Not unless you have friends in the media who will by around....
...to tape anything that might happen. There are many nuts out there!

4. I have, town of 8,000 fairly liberal. It depends on things
Where, when, how big of a place, etc. I found it best to give out posters and talk but not argue. It's ok to walk away from anything and anyone. Be safe. Have fun, wave at people who honk and wave. Be polite. Good luck, have fun.

5. I've thought about that, too
To be honest, I'm a little afraid of the wackos.

I have an Impeach Bush and other bumper stickers on my car and I'm worried about vandalism or getting shot at.

On the other hand, if we let them intimidate us -- they win.

It's a quandry all right.

8. My car has been vandalized.
I got krazy glue in my lock one time, and lots of key marks all over.
