Tues 9/28 Concert for Change in NYC
Concerts for Change Announces 9/28 Event at The Living Room

New York, NY – New York City organizers of “Concerts for Change,” a national campaign to raise awareness and money to support John Kerry, announces a “Concert for Change” at The Living Room on Tuesday night September 28th from 7 pm to midnight. The Living Room is located at 154 Ludlow Street in NYC. The night will feature performances by Rebecca Martin, Gladshot, Samsara, the Jeff Harris Band, Tim Williams, Amy Miles, Ina May Wool and Sam Bisbee. “We’ll play some music and raise as much anti-Bush cash as we can,” says Gladshot’s Deborah Andrews. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

" the outer sensibility of a pop singer and the inner resources of a jazz musician" - Ben Ratliff, New York Times

“Sam Bisbee is currently gathering critical praise for his clever lyrics, crisp guitar-rock instrumentation, and subtle, yet insinuating hooks.” - Billboard Magazine

“Gladshot is one of the nicest surprises I’ve had all year” – Bill Holmes, Pop Matters

Concerts for Change (www.ConcertsforChange.org) is a grassroots group organizing benefit concerts across the nation to support John Kerry and other Democrats. Concerts for Change is the successor to Concerts for Kerry, a grassroots group that organized 41 concerts in 12 cities raising $207,000 from over 9000 concertgoers between April and the Democratic convention at the end of July.

Concerts for Change is partnered with Run Against Bush (www.RunAgainstBush.org). Both groups are campaigns of Running for Change, a political action committee that targets donor dollars to specific groups, such as the DNC, swing state Democratic committees, Democratic candidates for federal office in those states, and other groups that will help elect John Kerry in November. The concerts have attracted an array of talent including comedians Jack Black, David Cross and Sarah Silverman; jazz performers Savion Glover, Joshua Redman, Charlie Hunter, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Brad Mehldau; indie rockers Ted Leo, The Capitol Years, Bishop Allen, and Pink Martini; and singer/song-writers Grant Lee Phillips, Duncan Sheik, David Berkeley and David Poe.
