From Aug. 27 to Sept. 2, 2004 most of the events will be held at the Brecht Forum in Manhattan. There will be parties at the Brecht on most nights and receptions after the major demonstrations.

During the days of the RNC many 9/11 Truth activists will be visiting New York from around the country. You are invited to attend the opening press conference at the Wings Theater or to come to the open house at the Brecht Forum starting at 4 PM Friday Aug. 27 (meet other activists and help fix up the space). We will be holding a brief organizing meeting and overview of the Summer of Truth at 7PM.

9/11 Truth contingent will go down to Ground Zero for the "RNC Ring Out" at 5:30PM. Ground Zero will be surrounded by people with bells "ringing out" the Republican National Convention before it is rung in.

A Party for the People!
Benefit For Lynne Stewart Defense

During the Republican National Convention and ‘Counter Convention’ join the Lynne Stewart Defense Committee, the Brecht Forum and the New York Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild at a joint fundraiser. Come out for an evening of solidarity, fun, music, drinks and food.
Performers include comedian and impersonator Randy Credico, of WBAI radio, Eli Smith and the Seven Piece Jug Free America Band, along with Nana Soul, Black Waxx singer extra ordinaire, and Norman Marshall, doing a short theatrical piece on abolitionist John Brown and more.
Funds will help with Lynne Stewart’s case (attorney now on trial in federal court in NY), the Brecht Forum’s renovations of and move to a new space in the fall, and the National Lawyers Guild’s work defending protesters arrested during the convention.

(Most recent assessments of the evolving legal situation in our endangered Republic indicate that the park remains a place for picnics and assemblies of up to 19 persons. See you there.)
