Kerry Rally in Tacoma, WA: Advice on parking?

I'm coming in from Seattle with my son tomorrow morning. I know I'm going to have to do a lot of walking since the crowd will be quite large. If I try to park somewhere on the north side of the dome, I expect to have to walk a few miles.

Any Tacomans have better advice?

1. You might try taking Sound Transit

2. also you could try to

car pool, We are hooking up with 2 other separate parties in Sumner and leaving from there. I am not sure if the train runs on Saturday, you may want to check, but if it does, thats the ticket. Very comfortable and easy ride, lets you off close to the dome. See you there!!!!!

3. I think we have a plan. My son is a Sound Transit expert....

we are going to drive to the Transit Center at 72nd and Portland and then hop the Bus PT#42 which goes by the dome. I hope it isn't too crowded. We will get there sort of early to make sure.
