1. Okay
Edited on Fri Aug-15-03 09:37 PM by aquaman
This week I have listened to a lot of:
Neil Finn
Love and Rockets
Traffic
Interpol
Calla
The Gits
and of course Bach, Erik Satie, and as much Baroque as possible
Question sweetzombiejesus, is the new BRMC out yet, if so is it good? I love their first cd
on edit: I know that a lot of the above are not "new" but I put them anyway.

2. As far as I know, the new BRMC is not out yet
Mojo says mid September, though God knows when we'll get it here in the States.

Ooh, by the way, new Super Furry Animals album is great stuff.

5. Alright...
The Walkmen
New Pornographers
And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead...
Stars
Broken Social Scene
Exploding Hearts (RIP)
!!!
The Sleepy Jackson
The Thrills
Interpol
The Postal Service
Songs: Ohia

I like selected songs by most of the bands you listed, but I can't get into them (e.g. my undying love for 'Dreaming of You' but boredom with the rest of what I've heard by The Coral)

6. Warlocks; yes, delicious
those guys should be getting more attention.

Also, put me down for Year of the Rabbit--new band from Ken Andrews of Failure.

upcoming: The Living Things, a three-piece from St. Louis who are doing their damnedest to become the MC5 of the new millennium.

Brand New and Thrice: pop-punk/emo with more depth than the average bear.

The Everyothers: working hard to make every day a moment out of Iggy's Lust for Life.

Good stuff. Too bad about 3/4 of the band dying.
