I need computer advice!
I know this question has been asked many times.
I am thinking of changing my browser. I currently
have IE. Can you give me some suggestions?

Thanks!

1. You'll love AvantBrowser
It's built on the IE platform (it's compatible), but with many of the benefits of Mozilla, including pop-up and ad blocking, tabbed browsing, and many other bells and whistles. Updated every few weeks.

Here's the link:

http://www.avantbrowser.com

Be sure to make it your default browser.

And do not uninstall IE. Your system may need it for other things.

4. Mo Mozilla
I was a long time fan of Netscape but was extremely unhappy with the direction it took under AOL. My son convinced me to try Mozilla. I've been using it for a month and it is great. And it has a built in pop-up killer that is killer. The feature comes default turned off but as soon as a pop-up attempts to invade your space - Mozilla asks if you want it turned on.

There are lots of browsers out there and I'm sure you'll find one to suit you better then the ubiquitous msie.

5. if you use a mac
then Safari is the best way to urf the new. There are some other Mac browsers too, like Opera (another small, zippy, nice browser). On Windows, I'd use Mozilla. Hope that helps! :-)

At little info

Tabs - at the bottom of the screen print are three tabs, NY times, DU and BuzzFlash, to pop between places all you have to do is click on a tab.

Down at the bottom you see the number 1, that is number of pop-ups it has blocked this session.

Up on the upper part of the picture is a field marked "search" if you enter something into this field and hit enter, it will open a new window and do a google search. BUT if you enter something into this field and click the find button on the right of it, it does a find on page search.

I like my favorites to be placed in folders and shown at the top of the screen. All you can see the open all option, this allows one click to open all in that folder... Great for my daily cartoon dose :)

Also it has a number of skins if you are into that.

7. Another vote for Mozilla -
fast, small, stable, cross-platform, and not IE.

10. The Mozilla website says the 1.7 Beta is now available........ Question.
How long has it been out and is it reliable? TIA. Does T-Bird work pretty good?
