My thread, I get to go first.
She reminds me of a little girl I went to grammar and high school with.
Oddly enough, her name was Judy too.
I can still see her in her prim little Girl Scout's uniform, with her little cap set "just so" on her perfect little head and held firmly in place with several bobby pins. Not a hair was out of place. Her little Buster Brown oxfords were polished to a high sheen. Her ankle socks were as white as snow.
Her merit badge sash was FULL.

She was president of the National Honor Society and Captain of the School Crossing Guards.
She won prizes in Sunday school for memorizing the most bible verses.
She was NOT a cheerleader.
She was head of the school paper drive instead.
She sold flower seeds to raise funds for the Latin Club.
In class, her hand was always first up. And she waved it madly.
I never saw a paper of hers with less than an "A" on it.
I never saw a band-aid on her knee, or a pimple on her face.

She was the perfect little girl.
Little Miss Goody Two-Shoes.
She had NO sense of humor and could never understand a joke.
She was the epitome of smug and self-righteous.
And I hated her guts.
I think that's her on CNN now.

3. What (or who) turned her? and Cokie?

You'd think that if she was married to Al Hunt she must have at some point had some journalistic integrity. Cokie, daughter of two Democratic congresspeople, has clearly gone all the way to the dark side too. But I've never seen any theory about how or why these two former journalists turned into RW hos.

5. Over the top?

I don't like commenting on things I haven't read or seen, but I've watched Judy Woodruff for years, and she's never struck me as anything but a pretty straight mainstream journalist. This right-wingwhore$2crackwhore ranting is waaaaay the hell over the top. I know this is a site to let it all out, but there's something to be said for maintaining a little perspective. If Judy Woodruff merits this kind of vitriol, then it seems that nothing short of peeling Ann Coulter's skin off one square inch at a time is in order (hmm, on second thought....)

6. Anachronistic

If you base your judgment of her on years of observing a mainstream career, then calling her a RW ho is way over the top. If you focus only on her behavior since the rise of Dubya, you'll see quite a different picture.

7. Notice I did not use the term

"crack whore", although I've seen it used and, yes, it's hyperbole.
I think it's money more than politics with her.
She's landed in the proverbial bucket of shit and come out smelling like a rose. I believe her notoriety and so-called "position" have gone to her head.
Her smug-smarmy (Hey look, I'm an INSIDER now!) personna just rankles and gives her no credibility with me.
