The 392 essential food groups for dogs...
Paddy says this jokingly whenever our dogs express interest in eating human food (which they ALWAYS do); to my knowledge, there is only one thing we eat that our pooches won't eat, and that's salsa.

What odd human food does your dog like?

:)

1. Well it's not odd human food but I've never seen a dog do it

I grow cherry tomatoes all year round..and my dog likes to pick tomatoes (and God love him, he only disturbs one at a time without shredding the whole vine) off my vines...he eats the insides and the seeds then spits the skin out..it's really cute.

4. My little chihuahua goes ape for pears.
Cut in itty bitty chunks, of course. I really think it's her favorite treat. :hi:

5. Not human food, but
cat poo.

When he was a puppy, we had to keep him out of the litter box.

9. disgusting
my puppy would make a beeline for the litter box, scarf up some cat poo, chew it and leave it on the floor.

totally revolting.

6. Strawberries
Not all that strange, but it's cute watching her pick through my strawberry patch looking for fruit. Apples are her favorite though. She wont eat olives and pecans, but loves peanuts.

My parents had a dog that ate an entire jar of Vaseline. She also ripped apart an AA battery and ate some of it.

8. My beagle loves cherries
He loves it when they get ripe and fall off the tree . . . he stuffs himself until he can't stand it any longer, waits a few minutes, then barfs 'em all back up. Then he does it all over again.

My wife hates it because she can't pick cherries unless she's willing to wade thru red dog barf.
