1. From my old devout days
I seem to remember something about darkness at noon. I don't know if that was when he was crucified or when he died. I always thought the period from noon until 3 pm was the sacred time.

4. either he died when. . .
the St. James edition of the bible was first printed or when Mel Gibson's "Passion of Christ" was released. Not sure.

3. Freshly back from watching my daughter perform the stations of the
cross. This all took place in the time frame between 12 and 3...starting with the eclipse of the sun and ending with the taking to the tomb. :hi: She did awesome as Veronica by the way. (Who was also a woman with much sin, go figure.)

What the American public really cares about is what color robe/loincloth was he wearing? Also, was Jesus married? Was he a good and caring lover? Did he bear his breast at the Superbowl?

12. I suggest you try to do something relaxing at 4:20
in order to appropriately reflect upon all of this...

I also always heard that the sky would always get cloudy at 3pm on Good Friday, no matter where you are. That said, I wonder if Day Light Savings time throws everything off. Did they have it back then?

14. Jesus died on Thursday, not Friday.
Edited on Fri Apr-09-04 02:11 PM by southerngirlwriter
He rose on the third morning after His death, which was a Sunday. Not sure about a time. Edited for clarity.

15. I thought the whole thing was that he (supposedly)
DIDN'T die. It always seemed to me that the Christians should have been thankful to the Romans for proving their case and thus making them legitimate.

16. According to my mom, he hung on the cross between noon and 3
She made us come inside and be quiet for those three hours when we were kids, at least until she went back to work and we were latchkey kids.

between 3am and 6am EST? And between Midnite and 3am PST? If he was on the cross between noon and 3pm localtime, I guess that would be the times I listed in USA :)
