I found an ad for a new bar in my area on my car this afternoon. They're advertising yag bombs and crack pipes 3 for 10 bucks. I know the former involved jaegermeister, but WTF is a crack pipe?

Ingredients:

* 1 oz Bacardi 151 proof rum
* 1 oz Rumple Minze
* 1 oz Wild Turkey, 101 proof

7. They're drinks for childish people who think getting drunk is the reason

for drinking alcohol, and who tihnk getting drunk as fast as possible, and as drunk as possible, is the key to an evening's worth of fun.

Stay away from them, and urge those whom you know to stay away from them. Tell them to insist only on the classic cocktails and their derivatives, and drink quality booze. They'll always feel better, and have a more fun evening. :-)

8. I've noticed this trend, too

I keep overhearing guys talking about buying bottles of absinthe, just so they can use it to get blasted quickly by drinking it straight.

9. And I don't get it

though sad thing is, when I was in college, I used to do it, but even then I never succumbed to stupid concoctions ("Here's a drink with three shots of high alcohol liquors!" "But together they taste like shit!" "So, it'sll get you drunk!" "Screw it - give 'em to me in three separate shots, at least I'll enjoy them.")

So, though I did the "drink to get drunk" madness, I don't understand the "go for the highest octane abominations" or the other trend of the "sweetest, most alcohol content abominations".

I want to taste my liquor - not added sugar, not mask it with fruit juice or pepsi, not so strong that ALL I taste is the vaporous burn of alcohol evaporating out of the vessel.
