4. I've never heard of this "margerita" of which you speak.
MargAritas, on the other hand, are made with Triple Sec.


HOWEVER -- Triple Sec is orange liqueur, and Grand Marnier is the best orange liqueur in the world. Therefore, I would happily drink a margarita made with Grand Marnier, IF a good tequila reposado is also used (no sense wasting G.M. on Cuervo Gold).

15. Ah Ha! Someone who knows their margaritas!
You are absolutely correct. On the rocks with a little Grand Marnier on top, shaken but not stirred. That's the way we do 'em down in New Mexico, the international capital of the margarita!

As an aside, I have also found that it doesn't make much difference what kind of tequila one uses. Save the good stuff for sipping, any old thing will do in the 'rita.

My recipe of fresh squeezed honey bell tangerine juice, grand marnier and Patron Anejo tequila is my favorite margarita. Rocks, of course.

1 can Minute Maid frozen limeade concentrate
fill can again with tequila (your favorite)
fill can again with beer (also your favorite)
Mix up in the blender.
Either add ice cubes to the blender and crush, or serve over the rocks.

I love these, and they're easy to make!

18. OK...this is the ONLY way a Margarita should be made
1 oz tequila (good, but not too good. Sauza Commemorativo or Cuervo Tradicional)

1/2 oz Grand Marinier
1/2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice

shake with ice in a martini shaker and pour into a martini glass with salt crusting around the edge.

Then take 1 tsp blue curacao and drizzle it in. It will sink to the bottom creating the blue/green effect.

19. Okay...
you get tequila, limes, Cointreau, ice, and salt. You take these ingredients, throw them forcibly in the trash, and pour yourself a whisky. THAT is the best way to make a margarita (in my opinion, anyway).
