1. Growing up, a friend of mine had a pin ball machine in her basement. I loved that game.

2. Ever since I was a young boy
I played the silver ball.

There is something about pinball that video games, which I also enjoy, just don't quite make it. Maybe it's the physical real-life play. There are no cheat codes. You either keep the ball in play or you don't.

7. Down South (on the Kentucky/Tennessee border), cool dive bars...
.
.
.
... often had pachinko machines that would (secretly) pay off
(gambling not being legal in that location).
.
Same as with the early video poker machines.
.
.
.
Though for BOTH types, they were fun enough that people who
were clueless about going to the bartender for a payout would
play them quite often JUST for the fun of it.

9. If you're ever in Vegas, you might want to visit the Pinball Hall of Fame
On the East Coast, there Silver Ball Museum in Asbury Park, NJ.

10. Lucky you
Hi,
Love me some pinball. Hard to find machines these days and then if you do they are slanted so much that it is hard to have a good play. Used to play all the time in high school and the college union had some. Loved 8-Ball Deluxe, there was one two level thing that I think was called Zenon or something like that, plenty of others. If you ever come across Medieval Madness play it, it is fun. I haven't played in years now.

Have fun at the place, I'm envious.

Peace
