I learned a new word today, thanks to meegbear in GD. "iDouche"
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=idouche

A person who fanatically buys every single Apple device that comes out often on the first day, irrespective of actually using it, and constantly shows it off and brags about it with other fellow idouches, friends, colleagues and often total strangers
Dude, Kevin is such a fucking idouche. He wasted my half an hour showing off his fucking iPad -- like I give a shit. He can't stop talking about it.

I am surrounded by idouches at work.
I am afraid I am going to turn into one

From the Urban Dictionary.

1. I saw that too, but it is an old term. I've still got an Apple II and own a whatever...
...the fuck they call it take-out box Mac now. I remember the first iMac. It was translucent and "OOOOOOHHH! It GLOWS!", but it really wasn't that big a deal. The Mac tower with the handles on either end (one's in the basement) was also "different", but the hardware failed somewhere and there's no way to figure out where. You hit the power button (on the keyboard) and nothing happens. No way to boot it from floppy or anything. (sigh)

We've got iPods, no iPhones (and don't want them or any other so-called "smart-phones"). Apple has been innovative, but it has also always been expensive and not every product is worth the extra money. Hence the term "iDouche", although originally it was "iDouche Bag". That was a long time ago.

2. I knew an iDouche years ago.
When the very first Apple laptop came out in the early '90s, this person I used to work with ran out and got one the very second they showed up in stores. I think it was called a PowerBook. And she never let anybody forget she had this thing; she dragged it around with her everywhere.

She was the first (and worst) iDouche I knew. I'm an Apple user myself, but there's no way in hell I'd wait in line all night to get the latest, greatest iPhone or whatever. I tend to wait until the new ones come out and then I get the previous model because it's cheaper.

3. I worked at Apple for about a year and a half and met a lifetime's worth of iDouches.
Met a lot of great people, too, but also met a truckload of Apple fanboy clueless spoiled brat nerd-assed douches.
