1. At least there was a glimmer of hope in King's dystopia....
Not so much in the others iirc.

2. No doubt. I found some things a bit hard to swallow at the end.
Stu and Fran and kids going back to Maine seemed foolish to me.

Moving 2000 miles from the nearest person with medical training just struck me as a ridiculous thing to do.

if a guy and his dog can stay hidden from the mutants for at least a couple years in the middle of NYC, it seems like you could live a fairly peaceful life out in the country where there won't be NEARLY as many mutants running around at night. You have the entire day to yourself as the mutants can't be in sunlight. You just need a fortified shelter to sleep in at night and a way to hide your scent. That can be solved apparently by stockpiling bleach. As long as you can't be found at night, you're pretty safe.

26. That would certainly be the most fun.
And, according to the series, there were several apocalypses between now and the 31st century, including alien invasions, rule by giant carrots, grave-robbing space mushrooms and the second coming of Jesus. And even then they have to deal with that grumpy Omicronian Lrrr and the flying brains. But on the whole things seemed to turn out OK. ;)

32. Whatever one has an epidemic kill off most of humankind.
Until there are only a sustainable amount of us left on this planet, as opposed to 7 billion. Of course, this virus won't touch any other species on earth, just leave it in balance again.

And BTW, for the earlier poster, I'm an agnostic as well. This is what I see as Mother Earth's healing process if we biped primates don't get it together.
