1. I don't know what the Season is now.
Bones and Booth are having a baby.

I think the actor playing Bones is really having a baby.

5. She gave birth on September 21st a son.
The OP could jump into Season 5 but some of the secondary storylines would lack foundation.

6. I thought see was really having a baby, her face filled out.
I haven't been really following the show.

Well, it did get her and Booth together finally.

2. I wouldn't.
Each episode pretty much builds on the previous one.

8. Agreed. There's a very in-depth storyline involving the characters that
would be confusing to come in late to.

3. We just saw our first episodes...
I wouldn't. Hard to get to know the characters for who they are in the middle of the seasons, I'd say.

4. does it freak anyone else out that all these pathologists (CSI, Bones, etc.) examine bodies w/o face
masks?

I realize they're just TV characters, but damn - put a mask over your mouth and cover your eyes, people!

Also, I caught an episode of Bones the other week, and while I've really enjoyed Kathy Reichs' books, I thought the show characters were idiotic and annoying.

7. I used to like this show
but I think that the longer it has gone on the characters have become more one-dimensional. Almost like they picked one characteristic that seemed to go over well and now the writers are really gonna push that one thing.

9. You'll miss a lot of character motivation and development.
A couple of the story lines extend over a couple of seasons.

Netflix is streaming the series thru season five. Hulu has six and is running current season. FWIW.
