2. There is.

You have to have resided (by legal residence, not actual residence) in the United States for the past ______ years.

Fifteen I think. It's the requirement everybody forgets because it never has been a factor.

Edit: I do wonder if Huntsman can meet that requirement...I doubt he was ambassador to China from an armchair in SLC.

5. There is an article regarding the POTUS and VP to not be from the same state, but...
Cheney managed to slip through that one. Just the beginning of the lawbreaking from that crew of criminals.

7. The requirement is that electoral votes can't count from a state if both are residents
So technically, they weren't supposed to count Texas towards Bush's election.

Cheney reestablished his residency requirements in Wyoming for the election just because of that clause, but he still met the residency requirements of Texas. The wonderful court of that time ruled that it was close enough for government work.

8. Not close enough for me. The coup was working openly before Florida.
But thanks for the point. There were attempts made to get it through court, but it was derailed at every venue controlled by repugs. Until the nails in the coffin were hammered in by the Supreme Court.

9. Republicans only interpret the Constitution literally when it helps them.
It didn't in that case.

4. Thanks!
I did not know that.

I think Huntsman, being ambassador, would meet that requirement. After all, the embassy is considered part of these United States.

Isn't it?

:hi:

11. I would say you must have a brain, but that obviously isn't true
Raygun had lost all his brain to atrophy and Shrub was either born without one or lost his to bad drugs and booze.
