armed robbery at my store last week

I work the 3rd shift and the girl that works the nights I don't got stuck up. So....big oil company instituted new security measures.


You will be fired if you have more than a hundred bucks in your drawer.

1. I am sure that the crook had a firearm legaly regestered in his name.

2. Real security measures they instituted there!

Do you feel more secure now? Makes me think that they think the clerks are in on it, just like those idiots to think that. Even if it was posted that you have less than $100 in the drawer, it wouldn't be a deterrent for someone desperate. Bullet proof vests and two clerks on duty at all times might help, not sure. Sorry you work at such a dangerous place.

3. Doesn't bother me much, but

I do worry about the others that work there. They have family and kids, I don't.
The sorry part is the lights around the building are burned out and there are too few of them. Their video cameras are out dated and the cops even bitched about how grainy the videos are. They have a panic button, but you are not allowed to press it until the crook leaves the store. Only one person works the 10:00pm to 6:00am shift. The company had record profits this last quarter.

5. I hope this crime prompts management to at least replace the light bulbs

Lights are a very cost effective deterrent. Please be concerned about yourself too; I am not sure where that comes from.
