1. I'm always nice to the people on the front lines.
Even medical bill collectors.

Most of them are good people trapped in a system that sucks.

And it's great fun when you run into someone who is truly wicked and likes to torture people. A friendly smile really gets their knickers in a knot.

3. You & Mr. Green at my DMV would have gotten along great.
When Mr. Green took me for my driving test, he rolled down the window in the passenger side, rested his arm in the window, & as we passed the high school kids in the yard at recess, he started muttering about "those punks".

5. I like to fuck with the assholes giving clerks grief
Edited on Wed Nov-02-11 05:46 PM by Skittles
at the end of the year my favorite is to ask loudly, "Are you always an asshole or just around the holidays?" I can read faces very well and very much enjoy loudly saying what I KNOW the clerk wants to say; yes INDEED. I've been told several times variations of, "You're my hero!" :D

6. I worked at Ontario's version of the dmv years ago. There were dust ups
almost every day. Long lines for sure. For sure dmvs have a captive audience. Or they did then. They have since farmed out the administrative tasks to numerous outlets in every city in Ontario and the lines are not nearly as long. I'm sure tempers have been reduced too.

12. I realized that when I found Mr. Scorpio's thread.
Oh well, if you DID live in VA, work for the DMV , and you had a really rough day, I'd say the same things.

10. See my experience last experience at the DMV was the opposite
I was a total sweetheart nice person and the clerk was a total witchipoo. I was the only customer in the place (benefit of living in a small town!) so I don't think she was stressed out from dealing with assholes

11. The bus I take to work, takes me through downtown
So when I had to renew my drivers license, I used the DMV downtown. No one was there! The clerk said they are never busy and he was genuinely nice. I think they have closed that branch now though.
