I hit the floor in a seizure of laughter several years ago when Stuart Scott claimed he was the inventor of "as cool as the other side of the pillow."

Earth to Scott: I wrote that in my college newspaper 20 years ago, probably more than once. I have the saved clippings downstairs in my parents' home in Florida.

And I hardly claimed to have been the first to come up with it. One guy in the south Florida media had used it since I was a kid a decade earlier.
