Fuck it, I'm rooting for the Rangers.
I don't care that minibrain is heavily involved with them

I don't care that they don't play real baseball

I don't care that they are from Texas.

All I want is to see those dicks LaRussa and Pujols sent home crying.

That is all.

1. Good news!
shrub no longer has financial interest in the team other than the money he spends on hot dogs and nachos at the ballpark.

We will try to avenge your Brewers. I could never be mad at one who brews.

3. I'm stuck...
I love baseball, but can't bring myself to watch a single game of this series, even though I know these are the last games of 2011...I just can't bear to see either of them win

15. Me, too.
I'll probably wind up pulling for the Rangers, just because I kind of like Nolan Ryan, and because Shit-for-Brains no longer has any financial ties to the team. At one time I might have rooted for the Cards, despite the fact that they are "the enemy". I used to like LaRussa and Pujols--until they showed up at Beck's clown convention. That'll teach this Cubs fan to show any kind of support for the Cardinals.

17. I have always been a Rangers fan
but even before he became a Ranger, Nolan Ryan was my favorite single player and I was ecstatic when he came to my Rangers. One of my favorite things in the world is the Nolan Ryan autographed baseball my dad gave me about 15 years ago. I once worked for a guy who named his kid Nolan Ryan and I admit I was a little bit jealous he got to do that. I only have a daughter lol. My wife put her foot down.

My favorite uncle lived in Chicago for a very long time so I always root for the Cubbies when it isn't in direct conflict with the Rangers (which it rarely is).

then a team that currently has idiots involved.

6. I've rooted for the Cardinals
since I was a kid so I'm not stopping now. It's regrettable LaRussa and Pujols attended a Glenn Beck event, but I can keep baseball separate from politics.

7. I'll have to sit the whole thing out 'cause I can't keep the politics separate
It's just that whatever the sports genre, my hang-outs are saturated so I have to be involved despite my cluelessness about the actual sport of the moment.

But I have actually gotten deeply "in"-to the World Cups going back 20 yrs and American football. Basketball, marginally.

SCRATCH golf, tennis.

13. I just got tired of hearing about how Pujols was the second
coming before he even played for the damn Cards. I live on the other side of the state and can remember hearing about him even before he went pro. All I heard about was him playing for Fort Osage and how he was supposedly the Messiah, except for that pesky age question.

I don't care about an athlete's politics-that's their business. What irritates me is constant ego stroking.

22. One thing about Tony LaRussa, he has done great things for animal rescue in the Bay Area.
So, even though it makes me sick that he is apparently a winger, he does somewhat balance that with his concrete help for animals in need.

8. I honestly don't have a horse in this race
But I'll watch as many of the games as I can just because it's the World Series. I'm hoping we get 7 exciting games, not 4 boring blowouts.

10. Heard on the radio this morning
$300 for a standing room only ticket. They priced me out of the stadium long ago. It's entertainment by and for one percenters. I'll watch the series. but I don't care who wins.
I was a Cardinals fan until a few years ago. The last straw was hiring an admitted cheater as hitting coach.

11. Thank you!
And if they play like they did for a few games they won't win either.

I think this is the Rangers series to lose, not the Cards to win.

12. You'll find the Rangers are a great group of guys
And they have a wonderful manager, Ron Washington. So he snorted some blow, big whoop. He's a good guy, and again, you can't help but like these players.

14. Haven't we all snorted some blow or something?
There are worse things.

I live in Missouri and can't stand the damn Turd Birds. I'm originally from Wisconsin so I was all for the Brewers. Heck, back in 1985 I rooted against the Cards because they just plain annoyed me. (My first year living in Missouri and I rooted for KC-good choice that year.)

20. They aren't cut from the same cloth
Hamilton credits his belief in Christ for him overcoming his addictions, which is not uncommon for addicts. He doesn't wear his religion out on his sleeve like Pujols and the only time I've ever heard him talk about his belief is in the context of him talking about his addictions.

37. Same here
Tigers-Brewers would have put a gigantic foot up the rear of the East Coast baseball snobs. The Tigers wound up looking like a MASH unit by the ALCS, though, and the Rangers have a really amazing lineup.

Thanks to my grandfather, who took me to games at Busch Stadium! Plus, we have relatives near St. Louis.

GO CARDS!!

I try to keep religion out of politics, and politics out of baseball.

34. What a nice memory to have
I always wanted to go to a major league game with my dad because I remember watching them on tv with him as a kid. Never got the chance unfortunately.

Long time Cards fan here as I lived near St. Louis as a kid, then later again as an adult and went to many games in the late '80s and early '90s. People are down on the Cards but I'm sure Texas has as many right winger ballplayers and fans and perhaps more, than StL. GO CARDS!!! I'll route for them with you. :)

But this Phils fan is rooting against the Cards. I'm still heartbroken. I think the Phils need to get a bit younger and then they will mount another run with our great pitching staff.
