I have never figured out how all those artists drank it to excess. They must not have had taste buds left by the time they started seeing/hearing things...

Many, many years ago, I got to taste the real thing, illegal Absinthe smuggled into the country by a friend that got to visit Amsterdam (I think that's where he got it), along with a friend of his that stole a half-full bottle of NO2 (nitrous, aka, laughing gas.) Now that was a party! :7
