7. The five of us who remember appreciate the reference
But don't forget, first you confuse the issue and make people think it was maybe your brother-in-law instead.

10. I have no idea how police do it in the field, but...
my cousin used to be a prison guard and they use waist-chains for that, he says. They have a chain that goes around the waist and locks that has an O-link on it and they handcuff one end of the cuffs to the O-link and the other around the prisoner's wrist. I'd assume if they knew the suspect they were going to arrest was a bit less handy than usual that they'd do the same thing. They also makes ones with the handcuffs permanently attached to the waist-chain (pictured below) that are more-common but he said he'd be reticent to use those in this circumstance because if the perp/prisoner could grab the empty cuff and work the chain up or down to someplace that they could get arm-extension, it'd make a brutal bludgeoning weapon (think brass knuckles).

A perfunctory Google search says "beltloop on the way to the cruiser" then "to the prisoner-cage once in the cruiser."

12. Some departments buy a special handcuff with just one bracelet, but most just put both
bracelets on the only available wrist

14. Not sure what you're asking. I guess then they put the perp in the back seat of the
unicycle and head downtown as usual

16. Policeman friend of mine handcuffed one good arm to his prosthetic arm
My friend was breaking up a fight with another officer. After he cuffed the one-armed guy he turned to help his fellow officer.
Fortunately he turned around to see the first guy raising the prosthesis above his head like a club.
