I don't know the quality, but this is a good deal and I wanted to pass it along. Mods, I hope this is ok; I won't make a habit of it. I knew it would disappear in the smaller forums.

1. Expensive cables are a HUGE scam.
Paying thirty dollars for a cable that cost less than a dollar to make in China is madness.

An HDMI cable either works or it doesn't. If it's not working, you'll know. That's the nature of digital.

7. Just had to explain to hubby to NEVER buy Monster brand anything
He bought a Monster power strip for $45 freaking dollars! A power strip at Office Depot with the same length cord costs $13! He's taking the Monster back this week.

3. Thats good for amazon.
You can generally find cords cheaper on Ebay. Between a buck and 2 bucks for almost any cord you can think of, sometimes significantly less. As long as you are willing to wait a few weeks for shipping from china. I figure if I am stuck buying cheap Chinese crap, I should only pay cheap Chinese direct prices.

6. I've gotten that cable before. It's usually a good cable.
Look up the brand reviews on Amazon.
Laz, who used to manage a Radio Shack, says there's not much performance difference between most brands; even the "Gold Plated" connectors don't make a lot of difference, as the signal is transferred on the pins, not the the gold plated casing.
The only difference between the cables are the QA of the manufacturing. Like flash drives, there's only a few manufactures that make cables for commercial sale; companies will buy a lot from the manufacturers and slap their own brand name on them.

8. High priced cables are a huge ripoff
and the margins are pretty crazy. That's why salespeople at Best Buy will try to get you to buy them. Try to buy cables online when possible. Monoprice is a good site.

and all are still working perfectly. And that includes 10-12 ft cables. You can always find them.
