Poll question: MSG, do you have any reaction to this additive?
Curious, I don't have a typical "allergic" reaction to MSG (stuffy nose, itchy etc) like I have with my cat, I get more emotional, top of my head feels soft, more likely to say something with less inhibitions (usually in the negative)and I think I'm more prone to migraines, What about you?

1. MSG is the reason we keep benadryl in the house.
It's been known to land my husband in the ER quite a few times. His symptoms are hives, severe itching progressing up to breathing problems. We've learned to really read labels.

2. I read them too, sad thing is too many companies rely on this to sell their
products, if the flavor is lacking, well just toss in MSG and all is well.
I really think that this product is dangerous in the long term and I truly believe that
people have reactions but they are so mild that they don't attribute it to the MSG they just consumed

3. MSG? Additive? For a moment, I thought you were calling MiddleFingerGrandmom an addict.

Laudanum enthusiasts (even the MOST enthusiastic like MFG)
were not necessarily addicts.

MFG used to date one of Edgar Allen Poe's descendents.
According to MFG, HE had a way with words, too.

4. I haven't noticed a reaction to MSG
but Aspartame - the artificial sweetener I believe makes my PMS unbearable and gives me headaches.

5. I get headaches from MSG.
I tend to react badly to artificial ingredients. Artificial sweeteners give me heartburn, and upset my stomach. :puke:

I seem to feel better when I eat organic/healthier foods, and stay away from chemical lab stuff, and cheap additives like high fructose corn syrup. Blech!
