My son got engaged tonight!

He called from New Hampshire, where they are on vacation. They are on their way back now.

They got engaged on top of Mt. Washington, home of some of the worlds most erratic weather. He has always been interested in meteorology, and her family lives in the area.

They have not set a date. I am happy for them.

3. I have known her for a long time.

They have been in a relationship for about four years. They own a home together.

I think they were just not ready to get married before, to take that final step to commitment. It does not always work according to the same chronology that it did for people of our generation, peggy, and that is okay.

As long as they are happy...that's all that matters for me.
