the 12th Annual Gathering of the Juggalos is later this week
It's in a place called Cave-In-Rock, IL from Aug. 11-14, with tickets $175 for all 4 days. I guess that's how they can afford to hire Charlie Sheen. LOL I wonder how the juggalos afford the ticket?

Among those appearing at this event are Charlie Sheen, MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, George Clinton, Flava Flav, Jimmy "JJ" Walker, Dustin Diamond ("Screech"). There will also be wrestling matches between wrestling stars from a couple of decades ago.

8. George tours pretty extensively
You'd probably have a shot at seeing him without all that Juggalo buffoonery.

Not too long ago I went to a Suicidal Tendencies show and one of the opening bands was a Juggalo band and it seemed most of the crowd was there for them. I really do not get it. I like a lot of weird ass music but not one single Juggalo song has ever done a thing for me.

However I did see quite a few interracial couples there so they get a point from me for that.

10. oh I think they mostly are
but there were more interracial couples at this show than are at most of the metal shows I go to - and that number is generally 0. And I am pretty sure they were there for the Juggalo band because they mostly had the clown make-up and most left before the main act...but that's my one and only experience in real life with juggalo bands and their fans so I could in no way say whether or not this was atypical or not...

14. When I've gone to metal/hard rock shows, there might be one or two black people there.
That's it. I've never seen an interracial couple at a show.

15. Yep I do see a few and
I'd like to see more because generally the black guys I know who are into metal are also into other things that I might not normally be exposed to and they have turned me on to some pretty cool music.

But as much as I love and relish diversity, I can probably live without juggalo music and fashion.

16. Absolutely amazing that this band's still a draw.
It really is. They were never even good enough to suck to begin with . . . just playpen Cypress Hill over weak raprock beats.

That place is going to smell like Marlboros, B.O., dirty wifebeaters, Greasepaint, Axe Body Spray, beer breath, stale laundry from overwashed Marilyn Manson shirts and broken dreams.

"Is it the Juggalo Gathering now or every Midwest small town 12 years ago?"
