Here's the scenario: you've been out of work for a long time. In fact, you're one day away from being thrown out on the street.

Suddenly, miraculously, at the eleventh hour, you're called by five different companies with a big-paying position as the lead spokesman for their company/industry. Your job will be to make TV and media appearances to evangelize for the industry. There is no chance or charge of/to you changing the industry for the better from within. No. You're going to be paid the big bucks to be an apologist for the industry.

The offers are all identical:

5-year contract
$250,000 base salary per year + perks
10-year non-disclosure confidentiality clause upon end of contract

I hate to say that I think that it is the most ethical. Being the leading spokesperson though would really ruin my reputation. I think that my close friends would understand but I don't know about my grandparents.
Can't I just be a food service worker at the college from where I graduated?
