Poll question: Poll 1 of 4: Best Beatles Top 40 Solo Album (1970-1971)
This is in response to requests in an earlier poll for John Lennon's Plastic Ono Band album, which unfortunately didn't meet the criteria for the poll (it didn't reach #1 or #2). So here is a listing of the albums released by solo Beatles which made it to the Top 40 in Billboard. The dates included are the US release dates. Enjoy! :hi:

2. Some good choices
I'll go with POB. Ram and ATMP were also good.

3. All Things Must Pass
is still better than Plastic Ono Band--there is so much raw emotion there: it's like listening to a phoenix rising, after being kept down for so many years by Lennon/McCartney

5. "Ram"
Maybe I'm the only one, but I LOVE that album! "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" is one of my all-time favorites.

6. I love RAM too....they are all really good albums,

and I'd put Ram within the top 2 or 3. Still, I had to vote for George and ALMP

7. Plastic Ono Band
and All Things must Pass are tied for the best. Ram is a lot of fun, and has a lot more substance than McCartney. But Paul lacked the intensity of John, who bares his soul, or George, who elevates his.

8. Yoko's "Plastic Ono Band" was better than John's.
But John's was still the best post-Beatles album by any of them, ever.
