My daughter-in-law is handed a small child while shopping.
The woman tells my daughter-in-law she needs to do a better job watching her child. My daughter-in-law doesn't have any kids.

Shop at Walmart and get a free kid. This week only.

2. Me thinks the woman just gave away her child.
pray tell, what did your daughter do? I would have been so stunned, I would have just stood there.

3. That actually happened to me once in a K-Mart,
many years ago. No kidding.

When I said it wasn't my child, the woman responded, "Are you sure?"

6. I'm not sure.
I read it on her facebook page. I assume the child was returned to the rightful parent(s).

7. Holy smokes! That had nothing to do with the child's welfare and everything to
do with feeling superior to your daughter.

11. one of my former foster kids'
mom . . was a piece of work. Had lost custody of all five kids she had.

She went to buy a pack of smokes at the local convenience store. The girl behind the counter's boyfriend had dropped off HER kid shortly before then because he had 'stuff to do'. Brandi (the foster kid's mom) offered to take the kid to her house for the night since the clerk was working the night shift. The clerk "knew her from buying cigarettes in there 'all the time'"!

She happened to call our house to talk to her son that night, we heard the kid in the background. Got the story and we called Social Services immediately. Some people do NOT deserve to be parents.
