It can be detrimental in certain instances. I don't always feel like being stared at. It is worse if there are comments being made.
I hope to be taken seriously at my potential new job (if I get it of course). The other members of the management team, besides the HR person, are male. I want to be seen as a valuable contributing member of management, not as a sex object.
