Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum. (A very nice rum)
It's called Ron Del Barrilito, it's Puerto Rican, and I bought 5 bottles at Duty Free after I finished my manatee job last month.

I'm heading out on a ship tomorrow for a month to monitor their construction activities to make sure they do not endanger sea turtles or whales. It's against the rules to bring alcohol on board, although the Captain and one of the Chief Engineers bring some on. It's not like I'll be at the helm. Plus it's rum and a ship, they have a history. Sailors used to be issued a rum ration and if people knew this crew, they'd reintroduce the rum rations.

So I'll be sailing and posting for the next month. Hell, I may even tweet. Y'all be good.

1. I've had that! Yummy!
Is it the aged or the silver?

3. Is that what you're drinking?
Looks yummy!

I love Ron Matusalem from Cuba - it's a lot like the Puerto Rican aged rums

But that stuff is hard to find - and usually outrageously expensive when you do find it

I've been looking for the Pureto Rican rum that matches that

6. It's cheap down island, but they rarely export it
You can find small distributors who will ship it to the states. Down island it costs $20 a bottle, less if you tour the factory in Bayamon (South of San Juan). Hurry and get it while you can, the family is contemplating about shutting down.

5. Would you prefer ship's crewmate or drunken environmentalist?
We're always hiring endangered species observers if you have experience and/or a degree. If you've a speedboat and can get rum and cigarettes out to the ship, you can make some easy cash. The guys always run out of smokes.
