6. In 1984 a beautiful orange tabby who was part of my cat Willie's cat pack
(he collected cats in the neighborhood and they wandered around together four and five at a time, it was a site to see, he was hit by a car in that neighborhood) decided one day to stay at out house and never left. He was not the smartest cat who ever lived with us, but he was one of the sweetest. He and our huge black and white male who we had thought was a female (Tabatha) became inseparable friends for a decade. We named him Fletcher for no reason it just seemed right. In 1994 we had bought a new house and were preparing to move. In the couple of weeks prior to moving, Fletch became very listless. We had a GREAT vet, and he could find nothing wrong in spite of tests and x rays. We had no idea what was wrong. Tabby did his best to try and keep him company, but all Fletch wanted to do was lay on the kitchen floor.

The day came to move out of our old home, and as was tradition, the last to go were the bebbins. We had six at the time, so moving wasn't easy. We moved to the new home without incident, and Fletch perked up a lot in the next few days. The first Saturday after we had moved in we were enjoying a welcome to the neighborhood party when my beloved ex picked up Fletcher and rushed outside. I followed her and saw she was crying loudly. Fletcher passed in her arms that day. I think he wanted to wait till he got home. We buried him under the pine in the back yard Sunday morning. My beloved ex loved him dearly, and his passing hurt her a lot. And me, as do the passing of all my babies.

I remember him fondly to this day.

I haven't had an orange tabby since.

Thanks for reading.

7. Every cat I have ever loved was unique from any other.
I remember each of their personality traits so well. Just had to lose our gray tabby Mac last week. The house feels empty without him. He died in my husband's arms. We have our two girl tabbies now but there is sure a big empty space that only he could fill.

8. I have been there too many times....

My Picasso, 12 years young, adopted from a shelter, the king of head butts, died in 2007 of a throat tumor. I think about him nearly every day.

9. We have a girl kitty named Trouble that looks just like him.
She IS Trouble but we adore her. She talks more than any cat I've ever had.

10. My midget cat Lilly is a blabbermouth too, most out of my dozens in my lifetime
Talk to her and she'll discus the status of everything unless you through her ball down the hall or steps. She weighs 4 pounds.
